For students ages 3–11

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is for children ages 3–11. It develops the whole child as an inquirer—in class and in the wider world. Learning is guided by big, real-world themes and built through core subjects. UKIM is an Authorized IB PYP School since 2024.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global, non-profit leader in international education. It helps students become inquisitive, knowledgeable, confident, and caring. IB programmes pair strong academics with personal growth.
Students are challenged to think deeply, take action in their communities, and connect learning to real life. Since 1968, the IB has built a reputation for high teaching standards and strong student results.
IB World Schools focus on clear expectations, critical thinking, and character. The goal: resilient, self-motivated young people with the knowledge, skills, and purpose to thrive — and to make a positive difference in the world. Each of the IB’s programs is committed to the development of students according to the IB Learner Profile.
The profile aims to develop learners who are:
Inquirers
Knowledgeable
Thinkers
Communicators
Principled
Open-minded
Caring
Risk-takers
Balanced
Reflective
Students are continuously assessed by their teachers throughout the unit of inquiry but also receive a formalized end of unit assessment to record their progress of subject specific knowledge, understanding the central idea and learner goals.
Assessments particularly focus on mathematics and literacy development.
